Areas of Expertise

  • Holistic Mental Health

Holistic mental health is an approach that aims to include a person’s mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. It sees the importance of getting to the root cause of the mental distress, and assessing from a wider lense that includes environmental, physical factors, cultural perspectives, and spirituality. Mind, body, and spiritual connection are emphasized as treatment modalities

  • First Gen Women

First gen women can be described as women who are the first in their immediate family to go to college, and/or the first generation in their family to be born in the United States. Identifying as a first gen woman can mean that there are additional stressors due to cultural barriers, acculturation, and perceived family responsibilities. First gen women may feel like they are also the first in their family to break toxic generational cycles, and experience emotional and mental fatigue as a result.

  • Psychological Immigration Evaluations

Psychological Immigration Evaluations can be helpful in painting a detailed picture of the hardships that led to your current immigration status. A detailed evaluation can explain your family’s circumstances, and describe your past and current struggles. It can demonstrate how your circumstances have negatively impacted your life, and help you win your case. The following evaluations are provided as needed; Asylum, VAWA, Hardship, U Visas.
